44 startups have applied for this year's "TÜV SÜD Innovation Award for digitized industries" but only 15 have been nominated, including fabrikado. In addition, our CEO, Thomas Hoffmeister, is also represented at the podium on the industry expert talk.
The theme of the forum held at the TÜV SÜD in Munich is "the smart factory - to touch and understand", which of course applies exactly to our corporate philosophy. 44 startup companies have applied for this year's "TÜV SÜD innovation award for digitized industries".
The jury has nominated the top 15. You can decide for yourself who gets the prize. The 15 nominated startups come from Belgium, Germany, France, UK, Israel, Norway and Switzerland.
What is the forum?
Machines communicate with each other and inform each other about errors in the production process. They identify scarce material stocks and order them themselves. Their intelligence also connects all those involved in the value chain: customer, supplier, supplier and partner. Production merges with information technology, robots relieve and protect people, individual production is not more complex than serial production. All this describes only a section of the 'Smart Factory'.
And all this happens today. Digital transformation has left the stage of abstract principles and concepts. Many companies, obeying the needs and wishes of their customers, have already developed their factories into the "Smart Factory". They already benefit from higher productivity, more efficiency, lower production costs, better quality and more and more individuality. And their ‘Smart Factory' rises a sea of data. These can, using the latest technologies, be automatically detected, collected, processed and analyzed. The 'relevant' data creates additional value for additional business opportunities in brand new business models.
The 4th edition of the Smart Factory Innovation Forum wants to present the ‘smart factory for touch and feel’. Numerous manager of various companies will report their routes of the digital transformation of their enterprises. The experiences gained from it, occurred obstacles and how overcome them as well as the drivers for the digital innovations we want to share and discuss with entrepreneurs, plant managers, startup founders and experts.
