To foster young and innovative local startup companies and to connect them with potential investors is the objective of the two Business Angel Network Alb-Bodensee initiators, Thomas Hoffmeister und Daniel Spitzbarth of Technologiewerkstatt Albstadt.
Initiative with fabrikado.com
The goal of the initial event, visited by numerous potential angel investors as well as existing startups, was to explore the interest in the network in general. Business angels are experienced entrepreneurs, who invest in a company at a very early business stage, not only financially but also with know-how and contacts. This concept has already proven to be successful in other regions, and as the initial event already has attracted wide interest, the initiators Hoffmeister and Spitzbarth are positive about a successful implementation in their region.
The speaker of the evening was the managing director of the Venture Forum Neckar, Sigrid Rögner. She introduced the association, which has been operating in Heilbronn since 2002, to the audience. During this time, more than 4500 startups have submitted their capital requests to the association, which has made it possible for 380 innovative companies to present their businesses to angel investors.
fabrikado.com among the front runners
At the event, four startups – three of which are from the Zollernalb region – introduced their ideas during a presentation lasting ten minutes each and had the opportunity to converse with interested investors.
